Everything’s coming up Milhouse! Yesterday I received an online MAC Cosmetics order with the two blushes that are part of the new Simpsons collection. Being a Simpsons fan, I have been patiently waiting for the collection to be released and I can’t wait to tell you about it!

Firstly, the packaging is adorable! The boxes are in iconic Simpsons yellow and feature all of our beloved Simpsons characters. The top of the blush packaging has a picture of Marge Simpson and the same image is imprinted on the blush itself.

One blush is called Sideshow You, which is a warm coral-pink with a very light shimmer. The second blush is Pink Sprinkles, a blue undertone bubble gum pink with the same light shimmer. Both of the blushes are nicely pigmented and apply quite evenly on the cheeks.

I think both the shades are very wearable in their own way. Sideshow You leaves a lovely rosy tint on the cheeks and Pink Sprinkles gives more of a flushed look. Personally, I think I am going to be reaching for Sideshow You very frequently; it’s a great colour that warms up the cheeks nicely.

I didn’t buy the rest of the pieces in the collection because although Kandi Johnson looks great in the green eyeshadows, I don’t think I would use them very often. If you’re a Simpsons fan you might also want to check out the nail stickers, just for some fun. If you’re like me and not totally comfortable with green eyeshadow and yellow lip gloss, I would stick with the blushes or the lip gloss in Red Blazer.

Pretty fun for my second ever MAC purchase (you can also read my blog post about my very first MAC purchase)! Let me know if you’ve tried anything from the collection or what you have your eye on.

NOTE: I also got a Lustre lipstick in Patisserie - an amazing “my lips but better” colour.
