A few weeks ago there was a sale on the Bobbi Brown website, 20% off, naturally I had to make a little purchase. So far, I love my new Bobbi Bown products.
The first thing I instantly knew I wanted was the Full Coverage Face Brush. I’ve almost purchased this at least three times before, after Lily Pebbles and Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup both raved about it. I have to say; I think this is a brush that everyone needs. Yes, I love my Sephora Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 and the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, but nothing gives me the even coverage that this Bobbi Brown brush does. I can effortlessly apply my foundation so it looks expertly blended into my skin, just the right amount of coverage and absolutely no streaks. It works really well with very fluid foundations but does wonders with thicker, cream formulations or powders as well. Great, great, great!
I also really wanted to check out the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks and decided on Harlow Red, a bright red. Surprisingly, I didn’t find it drying at all; it was actually quite creamy and comfortable to wear. Harlow Red is absolutely gorgeous, very pigmented and gives an amazing pop of colour on the lips, just as you would expect from a great red lip. It’s definitely not the longest lasting lip product I’ve ever worn and it does smudge a bit throughout the day, but I love that you have the lip liner and lipstick all in one product - I'm usually in a rush and can’t be bothered with a liner.
Lastly, I got the Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner in Violet Night. My hope was that this would be a good replacement for my CHANEL eyeliner in Casis but it is a bit different. Instead of a matte dark purple the like the CHANEL, this Bobbi Brown liner has dark purple shimmer/glitter throughout a black eyeliner. When I swach it on my hand the glittery purple is very obvious and leaves a great iridescence but it’s a bit less in-your-face when you actually apply it. The formula is very smooth and lasts for ages! This stuff does not budge until you take some makeup remover to it. I’ve really enjoyed wearing this eyeliner, it’s a bit less intense than wearing a pure black liner but still has some attitude.
Those are my latest Bobbi Brown purchases, have you tried any of them?
