September has been an absolute whirlwind for me. Between TIFF, Just For Laughs and travel, the past month has been absolutely jam-packed. That being said, with so many different events to go to, I definitely tried my fair share of beauty products in September.
Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in Didier: This lipstick has appeared in a favourites post before but as we moved into autumn, this quickly became my handbag lipstick again. Didier is a mini lipstick that’s a lovely redy-plum shade. The pigmentation is fantastic and lasts through a hot cup of coffee. It has a satin finish that’s comfortable to wear and instantly steps up any makeup look.
Dior Addict Lip Glow: I've written a post on this before but it really is a must-have, staple product. Dior Addict Lip Glow is a fantastic lip balm that is supposed to react with the chemistry of your lips to produce a lip shade that will enhance the natural colour of your lips. This is the product that I reach for if I’m out and about and starting to look a little tired. On me, this balm adds the perfect pop of light to medium pink to my lips. In terms of the formula, as you can probably expect, it’s very nourishing and has a light vanilla-mint scent.
CHANEL Entrelacs Eyeshadow Palette: I just wrote a post on this so I’ll be brief. This is a neutral, limited edition palette with a great selection of pigmented and buttery eyeshadows. The shades blend perfectly together, ranging from a light cream and pink to a very dark brown. This was definitely my go-to, day-to-night palette.
Coola Makeup Setting Spray: I picked this up at Sephora when I was in Chicago after watching Tati (Glam Life Guru) recommend it in a YouTube video. Before this, I could never really get into the habit of using a setting spray – I usually find that it doesn’t really make a difference and I can't be bothered. That being said, I’ve been using this one regularly for the past month. The mist distributes very evenly on the skin and dries to a matte finish quite quickly. I do find that my makeup stays but much better when I use this, especially when I was running around Chicago 40 degree weather. It also has SPF 30, which is fantastic! My one caution is to not use too much. When I over spray I find that my makeup starts to look patchy – so a little goes a long way with this one. Definitely a must try for a more matte and uniform complexion.
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt: This has been my favourite scent for a while but my love for this fragrance was reignited in September. It’s the perfect combination of combination of fresh and earthy that I just can’t get enough of. If you haven't done so already, you NEED to head over to a Jo Malone counter to give his a sniff!
