Another month completed means another monthly favourites. It was pretty cold in Toronto for the past month but it certainly didn’t stop me from going out and picking up a few new beauty bits and a Toronto-tastic winter accessory.
CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Foundation: This is something I wrote about in my very first blog post - Current Foundation Rotation. I put it down to try that fabulous Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation, but when the Chantecaille was all used up I was right back to the CHANEL, falling in love with it all over again. This foundation looks natural on the skin but can still be built up to a medium coverage. It’s not overly dewy and doesn’t cling to any winter weather and/or blemish cream induced dryness on my skin. The packaging is very travel-friendly and applies very easily with every brush I’ve ever tried - even my hands! I think this is always going to be a go-to foundation for me.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer: This is a bit of a cop out but I’m really not going to say very much about this product because I have a blog post coming later this week (spoiler!). I know, that’s incredibly annoying, but if you want to know more about a concealer that has awesome coverage but still feels natural on the skin, look out for my full review coming soon.
Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick in #05: I hauled this lipstick a while ago but I was really digging it in February. Willing spring into existence, I gave the dark berry lips a rest (although they are my favourite) and started getting out some pinks. I really love this colour, it’s not fuscia, not baby pink, not brown pink, just an absolutely great blue undertone pink. The colour does last for a good chunk of the day and it’s not drying on the lips. That being said, I apply a bit of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in shade 01 over top to make it a bit more comfortable. Definitely a great lipstick pick!
NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Color in Immortal: This isn’t going to come as a surprise to anyone who read my blog post last week. This is the creamiest, most pigmented and blendable eyeshadow pencil I have ever used! It’s definitely a must try for every beauty lover out there, and even anyone out there who’s not into makeup all that much, it’s insanely easy to use and always produces naturally gorgeous eye look. Immortal is an absolutely gorgeous bronze that will flatter most if not all. I’m currently trying to stop myself from buying the entire NUDESTIX collection on the Sephora website (please help!).
Tuck Shop Co. City of Neighbourhoods Toque: I searched high and low for this; I wanted it so badly. After picking up this green and white toque and walking around Toronto representing my childhood neighbourhood, it quickly became my most worn accessory of the month. Not only are these toques a necessity for all my fellow Toronto lovers, they’re actually really great quality and super warm. Basically, I’m obsessed!
What were your February favourties?
