I can’t believe it’s already the end of March! Over the past month I definitely started having a full on love affair with a great bunch of products!
Tanya Burrr Lip Gloss in Enchanted Forest (£7): It's no secret that I love Tanya Burr Lip Glosses. As I saw the weather getting a bit warmer and sunnier in Toronto for the past month (for a few days at least) I really wanted to wear my dark, berry lip colours while I still can. This gloss is just the perfect berry shade that’s not super dark and is incredibly pigmented. It's super comfortable on the lips and easy to apply - this is definitely a product I can’t get enough of. Honestly, I’m probably going to want to pull this gorgeous product out in the warmer months too…despite the fact that it’s a pretty big faux pas.
YSL Volupté Tint-In-Oil in Cherry My Cherie 5 ($35): I did a full review of this in January. I liked it but I wasn’t totally sold. This just goes to show what happens when you really give a product a good long time to win your heart because I love this product now. Yes, the oily texture on your lips isn’t incredibly comfortable at first but I’m more than comfortable with it now and I’m totally a fan of the oil. It’s hydrating and leaves a glossy finish on the lips at first but unlike a gloss, when the dewy finish fades away you’re left with a stain that lasts far past your morning coffee, and even afternoon tea! Cheery My Cherie is a great, bright pink that instantly wakes me up on tired mornings.
NARS Yeux Irresistible Eyeshadow Palette ($48 USD): I did a full blog post on this palette in the end of February and it’s definitely been my most used palette in March. The eyeshadows are really smooth and easy to blend, and I’ve actually been using a lot of these colours on their own on my lids (something I rarely do). My favourtie shades are Brousse (a shimmery taupe) and Jezebel (a rust with some light shimmer). Really great, compact palette with lots of great options!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Light Neutral ($34): This is also a product I did a full review of recently so it’s no shock that it’s in my favourties. I have to say, I LOVE this concealer. Super comfortable on the skin (definitely lives up to the “Weightless” name), covers everything while still looking totally natural, and lasts all day (13 hours plus). Just loving this concealer at the moment, no complaints.
Hydraluron Moisture Jelly ($25): Usually, dry skin isn’t an issue for me. I have pretty classic combination skin, leaning towards the oily side, but a couple dry patches did creep out over the past few months - particularly on my chin (quite unusual for me). I bought this on a whim during my most recent trip to Montreal and I have to say, it really does the trick. My skin has been softer than ever and it makes an amazing base for makeup. I also love that the gel formula isn’t heavy at all but it’s still incredibly moisturizing. Tumbs up for Hydraluron!
Sephora Collection Eyelash Curler (similar $21): I have a confession to make; up until now I NEVER curled my lashes. I know, bad beauty blogger, but I really never thought it made a significant difference. I few months ago, a bought this eyelash curler on sale at Sephora (I think I paid like $10 for it) and I totally get it now. It really does make your mascara sit on the lashes a lot nicer, and longer, and makes me look a lot more awake and alive! I’m an eyelashes curler convert.
What were you loving in March?
