Much to my dismay, my skin has gotten far too light to effectively use my coveted Clé de Peau Concealer. With that, I am pleased to say that I have found a far more affordable but just as effective alternative in the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Light Neutral ($34).
This concealer is exactly as the name suggests, it feels very light on the skin but has amazing coverage that still looks incredibly natural. A little definitely goes a long way with this one; just a small dot is more than enough for my whole chin (my biggest problem area).
I also use this under my eyes but if you’re like me and you have particularly dark under eye circles, you may need a more colour correcting concealer. If that’s not a huge concern for you, this is absolutely brilliant, good coverage that doesn’t crease.
The applicator is great; it’s quite big, flat and holds A TON of product – you can seriously cover your whole face with one wand full.
The main reason I love this product is because it literally lasts all day, I’m talking about a 12 hours day, without being uncomfortable. I was amazed that it lasted so long! Additionally, my skin can be quite sensitive so makeup tends to starts irritating my skin after a period of time but I’m not bothered at all by having this on my skin longer than I should.
I know some people have said that it’s not hydrating enough for them. I definitely wouldn’t say that this concealer is particularly hydrating (unlike the Clé de Peau) but I certainly don’t find it drying on my combination skin at all.
Basically, this is a fabulous concealer that I think everyone needs to go swatch at a Sephora near you! I have totally forgotten about my Clé de Peau concealer - sorry!
Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts?
