Monthly Favourites – August 2015

I have to say, I am very happy that August is over because I LOVE fall. I can’t wait to get out my leather jackets and boots. That being said, here are a few things I loved in August.

NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Pencil in Sin ($28): I wanted this pencil for months but every time I made an online Sephora order it was sold out. I finally got my hands on this in August and I’ve been obsessed with it since day 1. Sin is a gorgeous deep rose colour that’s absolutely perfect for transitioning into your fall makeup look. Like every NUDESTIX product I’ve tried, this lip pencil is incredibly creamy and moisturizing, and glides on the lips effortlessly. Definitely my favourite lip product right now!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition ($24): I used to have a variety of the UD eyeliners in various shades but I was completely without them for a few months. I’m so happy I picked up Demolition again, a very dark matte brown, and probably one of my favourite liners of all time. It’s JUST lighter than a black and has incredibly pigmented, even colour. These pencils are super creamy and glide on so evenly, without any tugging. Also, they last all day, no matter what – just a great liner.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash ($18): Firstly, I absolutely love Soap & Glory body wash; they smell absolutely divine and last for ages. Sugar Crush is my favourite summer scent. It has a very, very strong lime fragrance but is also quite sweet from the sweet vanilla musk and coconut oil in the formula – it kind of smells like a margarita. I think this is just the best way to wake up and/or cool off on a hot summer’s day.

CHANEL Hydra Beauty Nutrition Nourishing Lip Care ($50): This is a totally unnecessary, luxury product that no one really needs. There are plenty of amazing lip balms that don’t have a $50 price tag, that being said, I love this lip balm. I got this as a gift from my parents and little while back and despite how hard I try to pull away; I always go back to it. It smells exactly like my favourite CHANEL Hydra Beauty Gel Crème, the perfect combination of floral and fruity notes. It really hydrates the lips and doesn’t leave any sticky, thick or unwanted residue. Of course, the packaging is simply chic and elegant, like all CHANEL products.
