As regular readers of my blog or Instagram and Twitter followers will know, I LOVE a good NUDESTIX product. Last Thursday, the fantastic NUDESTIX team was gracious enough to invite me to a press brunch to get the low down on all the cool products and campaigns they have coming up.
Firstly, Taylor, Ally and their mother Jenny are three of the nicest people I have ever met. They are incredibly knowledgeable, innovative and creative, and you can tell that they are so proud of their NUDESTIX brand.
I have written about NUDESTIX products a lot but it was great to get more in-depth knowledge of the brand. For those of you are aren't familiar with the brand, NUDESTIX is a collection of makeup products that all come in pencils (concealer, lips, cheeks, bronzer, etc.). Devloped with a holistic approach to beauty, the girls wanted to create a set of multitasking products that are easy to use and enhance each persons's natual beauty. With a “less is more” mentality, the NUDESTIX team devloped makeup products that still make people look like themselves and are inspired by "sidewalk trends," rather than unattainable editorial and runway looks. Most importantly, the ladies want makeup to be fun.
The NUDESTIX team told us about a lot of cool things they have coming up but if you’re in Canada, you definitely need to look out for the Made In Canada edition of the NUDESTIX Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Royal, a lovely true red – check out my full review of the matte pencils here (they're amazing). Available at Sephora in May, the visual on the tin was designed by the incredibly talented Canadian artist Jessica Gorlicky as a tribute to the home of the NUDESTIX brand. Even more exciting, is that I won the painting that inspired the tin at the brunch – going up on my wall immediately!
