Best of Beauty 2014 – Best Products of 2014 Part 1
My last blog post was my best beauty discoveries of 2014, but now we’re going to get a bit more specific. This is Part 1 of my best products of 2014. This is Part 1 of my best beauty products of 2014, which are my best skincare, complexion and nail products. Part 2 (going up tomorrow) will showcase eyes, lips, hair and fragrance.
Monthly Favourties – December 2014
I hope everyone had an amazing holiday! I took a little holiday break from blogging (hence why there are two Monthly Favourites posts in a row) but now that I am full to the brim with turkey and cookies, I am back in full force. December for me has been all about adjusting to the cold weather and putting down some old favourites to make room for some new additions.
#FOTD - Current Work Face
I’ve been at my “new” job for a month and a half now and being on the work grind has changed my daily makeup priorities a little bit. Firstly, whatever I put on my face needs to stay on for the whole day; I don’t want to look like a zombie at 5:00pm. Secondly, I like to have that “naturally flawless” look when I go to work, so no bold red lips for me. Lastly, it needs to be comfortable, no thick and drying lipsticks or heavy foundations.
Giant VIB Rouge Sephora Haul
Last night I went to the Sephora VIB Rouge Holiday event at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The event was jam packed with drinks, treats, makeovers, facials, free samples and most importantly – 20% off all purchases!! Of course, I couldn’t help myself and I managed to do a bit of damage at the store. I haven’t tried most of these products before (two of which are for my mom) but I thought I would let you guys know what caught my eye at Sephora, in no particular order.
Benefit Speed Brow
Eyebrows are probably the most finicky part of a beauty routine. Over plucking, under plucking, over filling, under filling - it can all be a little overwhelming. I have to say that I have been very lucky in the brow department. I have big, brown brows that have a decent natural shape and not too many stray hairs. My only regular maintenance is getting my eyebrows threaded every 3 months or so and that’s about it, no daily filling in or plucking.
