NUDESTIX – Skin Glossing Pencil

I’m a total sucker for a good multitasking product. With so many different beauty bits to choose from, it’s nice to be able to check off multiple boxes with one product. One of my favourites at the moment is the NUDESTIX Skin Glossing Pencil ($28) to add radiance to my cheeks, lips and eyes.

Tarte x Grav3yardgirl Swap Queen Palette & New Sephora Opening

Happy Friday everyone! Yesterday I went to the opening of the new Sephora store at Yonge & Eglinton (in Toronto). I live in the area and I also grew up in the area so the fact there is now a Sephora steps away from my couch is incredibly exciting (and dangerous for my bank account).

New Mascaras – Charlotte Tilbury & Smashbox

Over the past month or so I’ve been testing two mascaras – the Legendary Lashes Mascara from Charlotte Tilbury ($38) and the Smashbox Indecent Exposure Mascara ($25). I’m usually not a mascara girl but I recently started the hunt for the best of the best. We all want mascara to work miracles on our lashes – extend, define, add volume – and I’m taking on the challenge to find the mascara that does that perfect job.

NUDESTIX Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balms

The warm weather is coming. Jackets and boots are coming off and it's time to transition to summer makeup. The new multitasking Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balms from NUDESTIX ($28) are just what you need as we move into the summer months.

Monthly Favourites – April 2016

I feel like I had a lot of products I wanted to talk about this month but I didn't want to spoil some of the longer feature posts I'm planning, so here is the curated shortlist of the things I really loved in April. Stay tuned from some more thorough reviews of new products coming up in the next few weeks.

Monthly Favourites – February 2016

With my collection of beauty products getting bigger and bigger each day, sometimes it’s nice to take a little buying break and “shop” my current collection. February was all about searching through the products that have fallen by the wayside over the past few months.

Monthly Favourites - October 2015

I absolutely loved October because fall was in full swing! Lots of layers, boots, jackets and berry lips – perfection! I actually resurrected a lot of products from last fall this October but fear not, with my birthday is coming up later this month and I know I’ll have a whole slew of new products to talk to you about. Here are a few things I loved in October.

Monthly Favourites – September 2015

September has been an absolute whirlwind for me. Between TIFF, Just For Laughs and travel, the past month has been absolutely jam-packed. That being said, with so many different events to go to, I definitely tried my fair share of beauty products in September.

CHANEL - Entrelacs Eyeshadow Palette

I’m actually rather late to the party on this one; I’m usually all over a new CHANEL palette. Regardless, I’m still incredibly excited to talk about the CHANEL Entrelacs Palette ($75) - I just can’t keep my hands off of it!

Colourful Clinique Mascara

I used the CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Rouge Noir ($38) for years, and when I saw Clinique’s latest Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara in Black Honey ($20), it instantly reminded me of my old favourite.

Monthly Favourties – July 2015

I must say, I’m usually not a huge summer lover but I was all about the warm Toronto weather in July. That being said, it’s fitting that in addition to all my beauty favourites, I’ve also included my newest pair of shades. Here are all the things I loved in July:

Monthly Favourites – June 2015

Happy favourites time everyone! The majority of products included in this collection of Favourites are products that ended up being essential on my recent vacation in Italy. I’m not going to bore you with another eyeshadow pencil/stick shout out (although I did bring those with me) but these are a few (other) products that I travelled with in June.

Bobbi’s Brown Eyes

When it comes to a great eye look, I think Bobbi Brown is the Queen. One thing I really admire is that all of Bobbi’s palettes are flawlessly constructed with the perfect combination shades that let everyone create a picture-perfect eye look. That being said, Bobbi’s Brown Eye Palette ($65 with eyeliner, mascara and makeup remover) is the quintessential palette to create a neutral, daytime look and the perfect deep, smokey eye.

Monthly Favourties – May 2015

I know I say this every time but I LOVE monthly favourites posts! In May, I found some new beauty gems and definitely rediscovered some old ones. From hair to lips, eyes and brows, I have it all covered.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette

I have to say, Maybelline really have been hitting it out of the park for me lately. Their Color Tattoos and mascaras are totally on point and I also love that Gigi Hadid is the face of the brand (who doesn’t love her!). Well everyone, I have added another product to my quickly growing Maybelline collection.

NARS Yeux Irresistible Eyeshadow Palette

I am so excited that I am now the proud owner of the NARS Yeux Irresistible Eyeshadow Palette. I’m particularly excited to get this palette because it was on my wish list for over two months before I actually bought it – and it was definitely worth the wait.

NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Color

I love a good makeup product in the form of a stick/pencil/crayon; they are just so convenient to use and to travel with. So when I first discovered a whole range of beauty products in stick form, I instantly wanted every single one. I did limit myself to only one NUDESTIX product, but after using the Magnetic Eye Color ($28) in Immortal (a deep bronze) daily for the past few weeks, I definitely need some more.

Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette

First came the powders, then came the blushes and now there is the exquisite Modernist Eyeshadow Palettes ($67). The second pictures of these palettes showed up on the Internet, I knew I had to get my hands on them.

Testing, Testing - Maybelline Mascaras

Attention beauty lovers in Toronto! Select Maybelline mascaras are now on sale at Target for $5.99 until January 09, 2015! Since I happened to be in Target last week, and I’m only human, I had to pick up a few of the sale mascaras. I’m not well versed in the world of drugstore mascara (except for Maybelline Great Lash – total blast from the past for me) but if I can save my self a few dollars and find some products that I love – I’m all for it!
