What’s In My Shower?

I’ve come to the point where most of the products in my shower have become staples, repurchased time and time again. That makes it the perfect time to talk about my shower necessities. Here are the products that I swear by:

Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Shampoo and Conditioner: I have been using this Pantene shampoo/conditioner combo for about eight years now - a remarkably long time. I did occasionally try other brands like Dove, Bumble and Bumble, and Aveda, but nothing seems to make my hair feel as good as Pantene. This shampoo thoroughly cleans my hair without it feeling overly dry. It also thickens my hair and adds body with every use (it works very well with the post blow-dry products I wrote about yesterday). The conditioner does a great job repairing my dry split ends and continues to thicken my hair after the shampoo. Although this is a great conditioner, every other shower I use a deep conditioner to keep my hair as healthy as possible.

Pantene Pro-V 2-Minute Deep Conditioner: This is what I use every other shower to keep the ends of my hair healthy. To be honest, I usually use the Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Masque but my Shoppers Drug Mart was out last time I was there (Beautiful Lengths is the newer product, I switched from the Deep Conditioner when it was first released). The Deep Conditioner is actually what I used the very first time I started using a heavier conditioner to repair my hair, it’s also what my mom used on her hair when she was my age (two generations of Pantene lovers)! Regardless of which product I use, they both make my hair silky smooth and make the ends of my hair go from dry and rough to moist and healthy. I use a deep conditioner after shampooing and I leave it in my hair until I finish with my body wash (and occasionally shaving). If you suffer from dry and split ends, you need a tub of the Pantene Deep Conditioner or Replenishing Masque.

Soap and Glory Foam Call Shower and Bath Body Wash: After being hooked on British beauty blogs, I had to get my hands on some Soap and Glory products. The Fruitigo fragrance, used in this product, is definitely my favorite Soap and Glory scent. It has notes of frozen yuzu (an East Asian citrus fruit), orange oil, green fig and jungle pomelo (also a citrus fruit). It is an extremely refreshing smell. This body wash lathers up really nicely and leaves my skin with a softly moisturized finish. The only problem is that Soap and Glory products are quite hard to come by in Canada, so when you see them at Shoppers Drug Mart you should pick them up!

I know I should probably also have some sort of body scrub, but I’m a bit lazy when it comes to those things (nothing has seemed to really stick). These products are the ones that know I will love forever, I might stray occasionally but I will always be content coming back to these winners.
